Strange to sink into Macbeth thirty years after GCSEs, so many lines arriving like slogans. Martin Shaw’s crackling electricity: better than Finch. The last hour oddly slow, accentuating the family massacre terror (unshakeable thoughts of Sharon Tate). But Keith Chegwin shot by Polanski! Quiet. Perfect, like the song he sings.
