My first time. How? Because there are too many films, hence (partly) this project. Graham Greene’s writing crisp, clear – excellent – but I felt oddly underwhelmed. No world-shifting euphoria. I merely enjoyed myself. But the little boy lingered… his shadow… then other shadows. A good turn too for Welles’ magnetic eyebrow.
