(And yes, I haven’t one of these for ages – work/life/mamming is 24/7/365 – and your life is busy too. So here’s something short and digestible, sent this weekend from the suburbs of Leicester, the morning after a Saturday night curry with my aunty and uncle.)

1) “Food has become so Ottolenghi-ised”. “Who wants a white Twix? Unnecessary.” I demand a short-run, beautifully-tailored Literally pamphlet of the quotes in the wonderful Pet Shop Boys’ Imagine documentary on the BBC this week. It’s also worth it for the boys playing their sweetly basic early demo tapes, for Neil reading the lyrics to Being Boring staring straight at the camera, clearly being moved to near-tears. (This gorgeous interview with Neil about the song can tell you more about it, if you don’t know the very moving story behind it.)
